Viera High Musicians Are Well Represented at State
December 5, 2023 – The Florida Music Educators Association (FMEA) works hard to find the best high school musicians in the state, and this year Viera High School can be proud of the seven band and orchestra students and the five vocalists chosen for All-State Honors.
Several of the students are making return trips to Tampa, having been selected in previous years.
The full roster for band and orchestra: Nick Grey, Matthew Brandt, Jack Marden, Neil Ghosh, Cody Hale, Marcus Palermo and Devin Miller. For the choirs: Anderson Law, Lauren Orr, Beau Mattessich, Sofia Kendall and Sophia Brandt. The Brandt family has a double reason to be proud, brother and sister Matthew (senior) and Sophia (sophomore) have earned their positions in this elite crew more than once.
The Viera High School music program is outstanding, with teachers Michael Coppola, choir director; and Directors of Instrumental music, Dominick Eggen and Maria Dix.
Viera congratulates these talented and hard-working students on this impressive achievement.
