Viera Builders Honors Fallen Airmen

May 3, 2023 – When a nonprofit organization decided to recognize the fallen members of the Air Force Technical Applications Center in Patrick Space Force Base, the board members approached Viera Builders for a quote on the cost of a concrete pad for the memorial. Viera Builders opted instead to donate the entire pad, including labor and materials.

Viera Builders is happy to support this effort, which honors the 81 airmen, both civilian and military, who have given their lives during their service in the years since 1947.

Anthony Graham, SLD 45 vice commander; and Nick Crowe, Viera Builders executive vice president. Image credit: SENIOR LIFE Courtesy of Matthew S. Jurgens, U.S. Air Force

Planned to be completed by early June, the memorial will have a 15-foot square concrete pad holding two granite wall segments. The names of the fallen will be displayed on the granite walls, along with a a granite pedestal and two stone benches. There will also be a brick walkway between the AFTAC’s flagpole to the memorial.
