VHS Teacher Wins State-wide Award
October 12, 2023 – Jeffrey Draves, the Social Studies Department chairman at Viera High School, was recently named the 2023 Florida Council for the Social Studies (FCSS) Dr. Theron Trimble Social Studies Teacher of the Year.
It’s a prestigious award that drew nominations from throughout the state of Florida and Viera High School principal Heather LeGate says it is well deserved.
“Mr. Draves is an amazing teacher and mentor for our students,” LeGate said. “He is pivotal to the positive culture on campus and always willing to go above and beyond to make sure students have the best experience possible.”
