Hawks Baseball and Softball Teams Head to State
May 17, 2021 – Showing some major skills on the diamonds, Viera High Hawks in both baseball and softball have advanced to the state finals.
Defeating Bartow (11-8) in the Class 6A baseball regional final round on May 15, the Hawks earned a trip the state tournament. The team has an impressive season record of 20-7 and will vie to improve that stat when they play Fleming Island in Ft. Meyers for their first contest in the state tournament on May 21.

The Class 6A softball Hawks also dominated against Tampa Durant in Class 6A, allowing no runs in their 5-0 victory and bringing their season stat to 17-6. The team is tough on opposing hitters and have not given up a run since April 29. The Hawks will play Winter Springs in Clermont on May 21.
