Great Projects, Great Progress

February 3, 2023 – It’s fun to see all the activity around Viera, with new homes and new neighborhoods, apartment complexes and businesses springing up all around us. Here’s a quick update on three of the many projects: Auterra, a resort-style luxury living complex; Venezia, a full wine bar coming to Borrow’s West and the Nova Apartments of Viera.

Auterra, a 55-plus, 166-unit new housing development located near Viera Elementary School is on schedule for a late summer opening, with one- and two bedroom apartments in four-story apartment buildings.

The $49 million Auterra will feature a pool, fitness center, community kitchen, clubhouse, a collaborative workshop, green courtyard and there is a plan to have a resident golf cart barn where residents can check out a golf cart that will be kept plugged in.

And for the pups, there will be a dog park and a “dog spa” to keep the furry family members groomed and happy.

In the north part of Viera, in Borrows West off Viera Boulevard and Stadium Parkway, the Venezia Wine Veranda will offer an up-scale venue to sip a favorite beverage while enjoying the view from the expansive windows on all sides.

Featuring a kitchen and wine shop downstairs, Venezia will utilize some interesting technology, such as dumbwaiters delivering food upstairs and self-pour containers which will allow customers to keep the fun flowing with the flick of a credit card.  Food options include appetizers, charcuterie and Venetian ciccetti, tapas-like items popular in Venice.

Scheduled to have a soft opening in September, Venezia also plans a full grand opening by December. Salute!

Another new apartment building will soar seven stories into the sky on Town Center Avenue in Viera. The Nova Apartments of Viera will be designed to appeal to young professionals and will bring a different lifestyle to the area. Scheduled for completion in late 2024, half the apartments will have balconies overlooking Duran Golf Course and be located near the Urban Prime marketplace and restaurant, which will open in Spring 2023.

Clean, cool and efficient, the Nova Apartments will have stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, wood-style flooring, keyless entry and high-speed elevators to whisk residents to the building’s parking garage.
