National Geographic Travel Puts Space Coast Tops in the World
November 20, 2020 – The global editors of National Geographic Travel have taken a close look at the entire planet and have named the Space Coast as one of the top five destinations worldwide recommended for families. The area also was named one of 25 places worldwide recommended for travel in 2021.
The National Geographic editors took these categories into consideration, Adventure, Culture and History, Nature, Family and Sustainability. They say the top 25 destinations, “speak of resilient communities, innovative conservation efforts and thrilling opportunities for future explorations.”
The editors were especially impressed with the vibrant space industry and the rich ecological resources, singling out the bioluminescence found in the Indian River Lagoon.
